Upchurch wallpaper
Inspiration for this design came from fragments of old pottery found buried in the esturial mud of the River Medway at Upchurch. The design is screenprinted by hand in a blue-grey colour which echoes the sky in this area. An enlarged version of the design is selectively overprinted in pearl to add highlights to the paper. This paper has been used in a decorating scheme for a bedroom and would create a relaxing atmosphere in any room.

Estuary Wallhanging
The Medway estuary is a place of tranquillity where the light changes constantly. I have used natural fibres and dyes along with actual mud from the river to create a fabric hanging inspired by the forces of tide and weather. It represents the river both visually and in its substance.
